Donna Beaty has been practicing as a PA for 4 years, previously at The Ohio State University Medical Center, which is one of the largest and most diverse academic medical centers in the country. Dermatology has always been her focus of treatment. She attended The University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate degree and Chatam College for her Masters degree. She is available to evaluate and treat many different dermatological needs and is an invaluable member of our practice.  She is married and an avid competitive runner, participating in full marathons and many shorter runs annually.

Ever wonder what a PA is? Below is a short description of a PA’s training and scope of practice. . . .

Physician assistants are health care professionals licensed, or in the case of those employed by the federal government they are credentialed, to practice medicine with physician supervision. As part of their comprehensive responsibilities, PAs conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery, and write prescriptions. Within the physician-PA relationship, physician assistants exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. A PA's practice may also include education, research, and administrative services.
