Hayley M. Leight,
MD, FAAD

Dr. Leight is a board-certified dermatologist practicing both medical and cosmetic dermatology in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Originally from West Virginia, Dr. Leight graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University. Dr. Leight then spent a year as an ambassador for the United States Fulbright Scholars Program in Palembang, Indonesia prior to returning to West Virginia University School of Medicine for her doctoral degree (M.D.). During her time in medical school, she was inducted into the selective Alpha-Omega-Alpha medical honor society for her leadership and scholarship. She then went on to complete her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency in the Department of Dermatology at the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where she served as chief resident during her final year. Dr. Leight continued her education at UnionDerm in New York City where she completed an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS)-accredited Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship, serving as co-investigator on multiple clinical trials, performing extensive research on body and facial aesthetic procedures. In Charlotte, Dr. Leight is also part of our DLVSC research team and serves as co-investigator and varying other roles with Dr. Munavalli for our clinical trials department.

Dr. Leight has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Clinical Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology and Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. She has presented at many national meetings including the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Winter Clinical Dermatology Conference, Real World Dermatology Conference and multiple Grand Rounds presentations at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Leight is an expert in adult skin disease and skin cancer and specializes in cosmetic dermatologic procedures such as injectable neuromodulators and fillers, thread lifts, as well as lasers and energy-based devices. Dr. Leight is best known for delivering a very natural aesthetic, combining her medical and cosmetic dermatologic expertise with an artistic eye.

She happily lives with her husband JJ, daughter Quinn, and Samoyed Ruby in the South Charlotte area. She loves going on neighborhood walks, traveling and exploring new countries, and trying new restaurants in Charlotte!
